Who we are and what we do?

The aim of the Goolwa Camera Club is to encourage and assist members to develop their skills in the many aspects in the art of photography.

By providing opportunities to members facilitating the exchange of information and ideas, and to help them become sufficiently proficient and confident to show their work to the world.

Above all...to provide a welcoming and relaxed environment in which they can enjoy photography.

What does membership cost ? 

Full membership is $50 per year due July 1st each year. There is a reduction for part year if joining after 1st January. Membership fees are used to pay ongoing expenses of website maintenance and equipment purchases/replacement. 

Associate membership is $25 per year. This is available for non competition members. They can participate in social and most workshops. 

Is there any ongoing cost ?

Yes, to cover hall hire a modest $5 fee is charged at each meeting.

I am interested....can I have a look without committing ?

Yes, there is no obligation to attend a meeting and check us out.

I have never entered a competition and I am frightened to do so.

You do not have to enter the competition.

The judging process is painless and subjective, it is the opinion of one person on the day, it is not necessarily "right or wrong". What you will find though is that the comments passed and comparing your work to that of others will help you to become a better photographer through the interaction.

There is also an option of Critique Only with no score given.

I can not attend all meetings, does that matter ?

Not at all.
